Dr. Nuthi completed her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, graduating cum laude. She went on to earn her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. Because she excelled in medical school, Dr. Nuthi was inducted into the Phi Sigma Alpha Medical Honor Society.

After graduation, Dr. Nuthi completed her internship at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, followed by her ophthalmology residency training at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Stony Brook (now Stony Brook University). During her final year, she served as chief resident. 

To further enhance her expertise and training, Dr. Nuthi went through a comprehensive fellowship at the Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she focused on innovative retinal disease treatments.

Dr. Nuthi is currently board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She maintains professional affiliations with the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.
